New Missouri residents are required to get a license within 30 days of establishing residency. The minimum age requirement is 16. Driving, written and vision tests are required to obtain a first-time license.

Missouri residents are required to carry a minimum liability insurance policy covering $25,000 for a single bodily injury to two or more individuals; and $10,000 for property damage. Also required is uninsured motorists insurance, $25,000 for a single bodily injury and $50,000 per accident.

Vehicle Inspection, Tags and City Stickers:
Your vehicle must be registered within 60 days of becoming a Missouri resident. For more information on vehicle inspections call the Driver's License Bureau at 816-630-6612 or visit the website. City stickers are required and can be purchased with proof of paid personal taxes for previous year at the Water Department at the Hall of Waters. For fee information call 816-630-0763.
