INVITATION TO BID – MOWING, DEBRIS REMOVAL, BOARD-UP
Sealed bids for the Mowing Services and Debris Removal Project will be received by the City Manager’s Executive Secretary at Excelsior Springs City Hall, 201 E. Broadway, Excelsior Springs, Missouri 64024 until 2:00 p.m., on April 8, 2026, and then publicly opened and read aloud.
- Blighted Property –This would include mowing/trimming, removal of debris, and board-up of a structure(s) for all areas within the blighted property, specific to those property lines yard.
- Grass/Weeds exceeding eight (8) inches
- Vegetation to include brush, bushes, small trees
- Debris to include litter, furniture, appliances and any other item not constituted to be stored outside
- Board-up of any/all openings of a structure(s) on private property or public property with a minimum of half inch oriented strand board (OSB) or half inch plywood, securely fastened to the structure with corrosion resistant screws 2 inches from all corners and 12” on-center around the perimeter of the board-up
- Securing a structure without boarding-up may consist of screwing door(s) shut, repairing locks and locking, installing a padlock or other method as direct by City Administration.
All work must be performed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the City, with height of grass not exceeding eight inches, or frequency of mowing not exceeding a 2 week time period without mowing except during the drought season.
All work shall be conducted with proper consideration to weather and soil conditions. Work shall not be performed in adverse weather conditions, or if soil conditions would be compromised by performance of such work.
