Gregory A. Dull, of Kansas City, Missouri, has been appointed to the Excelsior Springs Police Chief position effective January 3, 2022. Chief Dull comes to Excelsior Springs with over 30 years of experience with the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department.
Chief Dull’s KCPD assignments during the last five years include Commander of the Shoal Creek Patrol Division, Professional Development & Research Bureau, Traffic Division, Metro Patrol Division, Tactical Response Team II; as well as Director of the KC Regional Police Academy.
We look forward to making his introductions to the Community. Chief Dull replaces Interim Chief Chris Weber who retires at the end of December. Chief Weber is congratulated on a successful career with ESPD and his upcoming retirement after 33 years with the Excelsior Springs Police Department. Weber did not seek the appointment to the Chief position, with his planned retirement coming just a few months after the retirement of Chief Clint Reno who retired earlier this year.
