Precautionary Boil Order

Boil Advisory Notice

The City of Excelsior Springs will be issuing a precautionary boil advisory in the area shown on the map from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1st to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2nd. The area for this advisory is from Salem Road on the East side to North Main on the West side and from NE 143rd St. on the North side down to Excelsior Street on the South side. This is due to a water main relocation tie in for the Dry Fork Greenway Project.

Homes in this area may experience varying pressures conditions ranging from little-to-no water pressure to higher-than-normal pressures during this time frame. Once the linework is complete, crews will be flushing the lines in this area to remove compressed air. Depending on the progress of the work, the boil advisory may be lifted before 8:00 p.m. on Friday. If so, the city will cancel the boil advisory at that time. Please stay tuned to the “Excelsior Citizen” or visit the city website at cityofesmo.com for updates or changes to this boil advisory and thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Homes in this identified area will also receive informational door hangers providing this notice to the effected residents.

If you have any questions regarding this notice, please contact Excelsior Springs Public Works at 816-630-0755.
