The Missouri Good Neighborhood Week ended with over 31,000 documented acts of neighboring and five cities worthy of the title ‘most neighborly city’ in Missouri. Residents are encouraged to keep the spirit of MO Good Neighbor Week alive by continuing to track and documents acts of kindness at missourigoodneighborweek.com. It is not a surprise to hear Excelsior Springs is neighborly, we see examples of kindness all the time.
Won’t You Be My Neighbor Day happens every year on March 20, Mr. Roger’s Birthday. Celebrate this special man and special day by letting your neighbors know that you value them. Deliver a treat, leave a kind note, or do a random act of kindness for a neighbor.
The Neighborhood Engagement Team exists to bring neighbors together through fun events! Please complete the contact form to be placed on the email list for meeting times. We’ll be planning ES Night Out Against Crime, block parties, Flamingo Fridays, Missouri Good Neighbor Week and more! We’ll learn how to connect with our neighbors and make our neighborhoods safe, clean and friendly!

Nominations for the 2025 Most Engaged Neighbor Award are now open! Do you have a neighbor who goes above and beyond to help others? We want to know about that person. We are looking for Missouri’s most engaged neighbors again this year! Each year we are blown away by the neighborliness you tell us about and we can’t wait to hear more. Nominate your most engaged neighbor here.
Celebrate Good Neighbor Week (September 28-October 4) by doing something kind for a senior citizen in your neighborhood! Choose a senior neighbor and let them know it’s Good Neighbor Week and you’d love to do something to brighten their day.
