Excelsior Springs Returning to Five-Day Trash Pickup Schedule

Update 01/06/25: Republic Services has provided the following update regarding this week’s trash and recycling schedule:

  • Due to road conditions, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Tuesday.
  • Collection will occur on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for those regularly scheduled days.
  • Monday routes will not be collected this week and will resume next week on their regular schedule.
  • To accommodate the delay, extra bags placed outside of carts will be collected this week and next week.
  • Please ensure carts are placed in areas accessible to the trucks.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as crews work to safely resume services.

For Residents who experience missed trash or recycle:

Please contact Customer Service at 816-254-1470 to report the miss. Also, please call Public Works at 816-630-0755, ext. 4421. If it is more convenience to call after our office closes at 4:00 p.m. — you should still call and leave a message. It is imperative you contact us early the next day. Please leave your name, address, phone number and specify if it was trash or recycle that was not picked up. Leave the cart at the curb (they can’t pick it up if it’s not at the curb). It’s important to call.

The City has been in contact with management at Republic Service and they are making an attempt to improve their customer satisfaction.
