MISSION
The Animal Control Officers of Excelsior Springs are dedicated to ensuring public safety and animal welfare within our community. They respond to issues including animal bites, dangerous dogs, sick or injured animals, neglect or cruelty, stray animals, deceased animals, excessive barking, lost or found pets, surrenders, and other incidents of concern within city limits.

Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
🐾 Shelter Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Note: Animal Control does not handle wildlife issues. For wildlife removal, please contact a specialized wildlife company.
PET SURRENDER and ADOPTION
To surrender or adopt a pet from the Animal Control Center, please schedule an appointment by calling 816-630-0816. Our answering machine is available 24/7.
- Adoption Requirements: All animals adopted from the Excelsior Springs Animal Control Center (ESACC) must be spayed or neutered. Adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations. To adopt, you must complete an adoption application and be at least 18 years old.

LICENSE YOUR PET
An annual Pet License is required for all dogs, cats, and miniature pigs in Excelsior Springs. To obtain a license, your pet must have a current rabies vaccination. Licenses are available for purchase at:

- ESACC
- Excelsior Springs Animal Clinic
