Excelsior Springs, MO – In February, the Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) hosted its annual Police Awards Banquet, celebrating the dedication and achievements of its members. The event provided an opportunity to honor those who contribute to making the department a remarkable place, while fostering camaraderie among the team.
Award Highlights:
Top Shot Award: Sergeant Cramer-Stocks received the “Top Shot Award” for expert marksmanship and unparalleled precision. Recognized for their exceptional skill, Sergeant Cramer-Stocks exemplifies the expertise that ensures our community’s safety.
Life Saving Award: Corporal Hyatt, Sergeant Rider, and Officer Sanchez were honored with the “Life Saving Award” for their quick responses and decisive actions, which resulted in the preservation of life. Corporal Hyatt and Sergeant Rider each received three such awards, showcasing their commitment to safeguarding lives in critical situations.
Officer of the Year Award: Sergeant Nash-St John was awarded the first-ever “Officer of the Year Award.” Her dedication and drive as both a School Resource Officer and a road officer are widely recognized within the department and the community. Her unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of children and residents is deeply appreciated.
