Joint Training Exercise Enhances School Emergency Preparedness

Excelsior Springs, MO – In a collaborative effort to ensure the safety of our community’s children and educators, the Excelsior Springs Police Department (ESPD) and the Excelsior Springs Fire Department (ESFD) recently conducted a comprehensive joint training exercise. This training focused on emergency response scenarios within the community’s schools, simulating various potential situations to enhance preparedness and coordination.

During the exercise, first responders from both departments navigated through the schools, practicing their response strategies and communication protocols. The training aimed to refine their skills in managing emergencies efficiently and effectively, ensuring that our first responders are well-prepared to protect the safety and well-being of students and school staff.
