The 2026 Annual Employee Luncheon was held on August 6 at the Montgomery Event Venue. Members of the City Council dished up a meal catered by Price Chopper for employees.
The event features special recognition of employees for their years of service. This year a new specialty awards were presented for Rising Star, Community Impact, MVP, and Old Faithful.

Debby Willimetz’s Retirement Celebrated
A Retirement Reception was held for Debby Willimetz on July 12, 2024 at Public Works. Debby has devoted 30 years of service to the City of Excelsior Springs. Debby had a “Rock Chalk” send-off by her friends and family.

Sadly, our employee Mike Hearrold II passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He worked for the City, in Public Works at the Water Plant since February 18, 2014 until early March 2025.
